Client wanted every Cable TV Industry leader to know that CGTV will be a big, bold new network that would cover gaming events, tournaments, sports wagering, fantasy sports, and instructional programs; as well as casino entertainment, and lifestyle programming. In addition to proving that there is a clear viewer desire for such a network, the client wanted to demonstrate that regional casinos were supportive and would provide advertising dollars. The top 100 Industry decision makers and at least 65% of all non-exhibitor convention attendees experienced the exhibit activity.

CKP produced a working Casino, with an upscale European flavor, on the exhibit floor, complete with working gaming tables, a lively bar and lounge, 10 dealers, 4 showgirls and 8 casino waitresses. Those features, plus the A/V, photography and a custom tailored musical soundtrack supported the style, quality and scope of the planned Network. CGTV “money” was passed out prior and during the tradeshow; individuals traded the “cash” in at tables for chips and played the games to increase winnings. Winnings were then brought to the “Casino Cashier” to be traded in for prizes, which included trips to casinos throughout the USA and Caribbean.

CKP designed all of the costumes from the ground up, including fabulous fuchsia-feathered showgirl garb and white satin tails and top hats for the Casino staff.  We also held numerous auditions and interviews prior to the show… looking for Showgirls and Casino Staff who had the right mix of skill, personality, and beauty. The term “class,” not “classy,” was the constant byword in the selection process. To give an idea of the interest in working on this show… 300 dealers from Harrahs tried out for the booth’s ten positions. The pleasant and energetic dealers, and the debonair pit boss, “dressed to the nines,” brought people to the tables and taught novices to play games that they had never before attempted.

Four of the six publications that cover the Cable TV industry chose photos of Casino and Gaming TV to represent the industry event. CGTV placed first in corporate exhibits and second out of the 325 exhibitors in CableWorld Magazine’s contest for “best exhibit at the show.”
