Q Television Network needed both concept and full execution for a fabulous and fun closing cocktail party at CTAM in Philly. Told only that the event should underscore this new Network's acquisition of the Gay Games, we pitched the idea of a lavish Greco-Roman Bacchanal, complete with hulking gladiators, a parade of male and female athletes, tables heaped with grapes, food and wine, and of course, a deliciously camp drag queen to act as Mistress of Ceremonies. She arrived at the event carried on a custom-designed Sedan Chair, in the shape of a giant Q. Signage, costumes, casting, catering, lighting, sound and music came together beautifully and quickly, and the result was an event that grabbed the crowd, presented the message, and delighted the client.
