Our 1996 NCTA entry for Speedvision Network was heralded by a full-size, full-color '50s Movie Poster invitation. Apropos to the genre, the graphics featured a B- Movie blonde and hot rods beckoning invitees to join those speedcrazed youths and party the night away with Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Dick Dale, Bo Diddley, Ronnie Spector, The Crystals, Marvelettes and Shangrilas. We constructed two mammoth stages at Santa Monica's Museum of Flying, as well as a 50's decor fantasy that included a neon diner/drive-in surrounded by classic cars, Harleys and vintage aircraft.
